Green Team challenges K-12 schools to become green schools and provides them with
incentives and support for achieving this goal. At the start of the program, Green Team will
meet with key members of your school’s faculty and administration in order to generate
enthusiasm and support. At your request we will teach faculty and students how to recycle
responsibly. We also have available teaching materials to accompany any curriculum tie-ins
with your classes.
Green Team will also provide students and faculty with ideas for fundraising efforts. We
will give out T-shirts and prizes to your top recyclers in class. Green Team is creating
opportunities for partnership with local businesses and organizations that share our belief
in the importance of promoting green schools.
At the end of the school year, your school will receive a certificate of how many tons of
paper they recycled and how many trees they saved. Recycle Bucks will be calculated and
rewards will be presented to your school. We hope you will take the Green Team Challenge

Recycle Bucks break down
50 Recycle Bucks for every ton of paper.
Recycle Bucks are used to purchase item(s) that were determined in initial meeting with school representative.
Maximum 500 Recycle Bucks per school year.
*Please Note: Tanks Received with any contamination will not count tward your total weight. You will be notified via email with a picture of the contaminated tank. If you receive three or more notifications of contaminated tanks we will be forced to drop your school from the program.
